A day to remember....

November 9th, 2013 will be a day that will not soon be forgotten. After a wonderful couple of weeks with the birth of my beautiful baby girl, I was able to climb up a tree again on a warm but beautiful fall day. The morning started off slow with only a few turkeys and no deer seen in the stand. The evening was more of the same, until 4:30 when a deer we knew well showed up. I ended up killing the biggest deer I have ever killed, and it finally came after hundreds and probably thousands of hours in a tree and over 10 years. It was a good day to be a bowhunter. Trying not to get too sappy but to us guys who are bowhunters know what this means. And to the guys who have been involved in all the work put in at Osceola in food plots, brush cutting , pushing walnuts trees off the walnut grove when it's 100 degrees, tractor work and cabin building...We did it! Some of the pics aren't great from the trail cams but here they are. We have pics of him this year and will post soon.
This is him last year in December.

First time his anthers were you touched.
He scores in the upper 130s
And I need to give a special thanks to my beautiful wife for letting me do what I love to do! Thanks baby ! I love you!

  1. Best day hunting of my life ! I will never forget the first time we saw this deer when we were tracking it. I will relive that moment over and over again. Truly a gift from GOD.
